Blink Focus

I began taking tramadol in the form of Ultram ER (then later Zydol XL) 6 months ago for severe pain. I chose this drug because I researched it and it was supposed to be non-addictive. Well, it ISN'T. I no longer need to take it and I tried stopping cold turkey - BIG mistake. I had bad withdrawal. Dizziness, sweating, sleeplessness, diarrhea, argg. I went back on the drug, but now I'm tapering off slowly. I skip days. I'm skipping every other day and my body has handled that very well. At first I was very dizzy, but the dizziness has gone away. I'm going to start skipping two days soon. We'll see how that goes...

Tramadol Effectiveness

It never really killed the pain; more like dulled it. It stopped being effective so I decided to stop taking it. I thought stopping would be easy but after 6 months on this drug my body became dependent and immediately stopping wasn't an option.

Tramadol Side-Effects

- The worst side-effect was ungodly constipation. Make sure you take a fiber supplement to help with that. I used Benefiber 3x a day mixed with a drink.

- After awhile I noticed ringing in my ears.

- After 6 months it seems to make me feel worse. I noticed that I feel better on days when I don't take it. ???
